Delta Epsilon Mu hosted a professional sensitivity training event presented by Lindsay Toman. Ms. Toman discussed the importance of overcoming healthcare barriers through education and affirmation. Training future physicians to address the health needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) population can potentially decrease health disparities faced by such individuals.
